Description

Under general supervision, performs a variety of general office, clerical, technical, and related administrative support duties for the professional staff or a department director.  




Examples of Duties

Work involves serving as secretary to the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustments which includes preparing and distributing agendas and related materials, and taking and preparing minutes for public record and appropriate legally required follow up to Commission actions and other legal requirements; and providing information and assistance to the general public regarding policies and procedures. Reports to the Director of Planning. 

 


Typical Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in secretarial science and a minimum of three to five years of administrative and clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
